Nintendo Wii 2 Will Not Be 3D

We hear reports today that the next generation Wii will not offer 3D gaming, as previously thought.
The reason is that not enough people have 3D TVs in their homes, making it a less viable idea. We also hear that a sequel for the Wii is not any time soon which could indicate we just see at least another few years. We have never heard of a PS4 or Xbox 360 next-gen 2 (or 720 as some call it).
While Nintendo say it will take some time before a Wii 2 comes, they said it will eventually arrive at some point.
Back last month, Nintendo, Nintendo or someone had commented that the Wii would not get an update to 3D, but the Wii 2 could be 3D, even when they specifically stated they were seeking a 30% approval rate 3D TVs became viable. Perhaps the statement is just echo what has been said already in some respects.
“If you display a 3D image, the image quality is extremely bad, so we probably would do with the following system … We think the timing should be time 3D television adoption crosses the 30% mark. We look at the adoption trends”
