Fujitsu Introduced its First Netbook Based MeeGo

Fujitsu has introduced its first netbook based MeeGo. The first release of open-source Linux OS MeeGo aimed at netbook submitted in May 2010 as a platform developer-only. Released from Fujistu LifeBook MH330 marks the first time the OS has been made available to consumers pre-installed on the netbook shipments.

OS available for download from the site MeeGo and compatible for use on any Intel-based netbook Pine Trail, however, the version that is installed on MH300 LifeBook has been optimized with the appropriate driver. If installed on a netbook based on Windows 7, the possibility that while the OS still will boot and function normally, users will lose the use of function keys. Fujitsu is reported to be working on a solution to install the OS as an aftermarket upgrade for netbooks currently shipping pre-installed with Windows 7 Starter.

The MH330 featuries Intel Atom N455 1.66GHz 1GB ultraportable CPUwith RAM, sebuah 250GB hard drive dan sebuah 10.1-inch 1024 x 600 layar LED-backlit.Netbook is shipping in Asia for the equivalent of $ 380 with no news on U.S. pricing or availability at this time. [via electronista]
