Apple 11.6-inch MacBook Air Rumored
Rumor has it that Apple will announce a new addition to their MacBook lineup later this year. The news comes by way of the Digitimes, a site that has had some success in the past in making these kinds of predictions.
According to the site, it’s believed that the new MacBook will feature an 11.6-inch display screen and will be powered by the Core i-series ultra-low Intel processor. If the rumors are correct, it’s believed that Quanta Computer, a Taiwanese based manufacturer of notebook computers and other electronic equipment, will be given the responsibility of manufacturing the product. Initially, it appears that only 400,000 units will be produced.
It will be interesting to see just how Apple plans to price these new units. Will they priced lower then their 13-inch MacBook Air and Pro to try and push sales or will they set at a premium price so as to not affect the sales of their other products?
