A Zero Emission Electric Vehicle FROM Yamaha Ec 03 50CC

Unveiled at 2009 Tokyo Motor Show as a concept, the EC-03 from Yamaha is now a reality. Our small electric bicycle model features a new high energy 50 V lithium-ion battery manufactured by Sanyo Electric, a distance of 43 km per charge achieved at 30km / h on level ground.
Our EC-03 is based on the Super Slim Power Unit (Yamaha Integrated Power Unit – YIPU) Yamaha not only 10 to 15% more torque at low speed, but make optimum use of force to offer at hand.

The new EC-03 is a “zero emissions” vehicle with a smooth and quiet ride that makes it possible to enjoy riding the lightness and slim design not found in conventional 50cc scooters. This model features a new high energy 50 V lithium-ion battery manufactured by Sanyo Electric Co., Ltd. and exclusive super slim Yamaha Motor Yamaha Integrated Power Unit (YIPU), which together provide a smooth running performance at any time. Moreover, this creates a distance of 43 km per charge (@ 30 kmh on level ground) to provide the functionality and performance needed during the short-distance transport must be in the urban environment. This new model also has plug-in load from a 100 V socket household (3-hole grounded type), excellent ease of maneuverability thanks to its lightweight aluminum frame and other features on the high degree of functionality and ease of use as a “smart, minimal commuters’ vehicles.
