Google Release 100 Thousand Active Android Apps
Google quietly confirmed this morning that it had formally approved 100 000 active apps on the Android Market. Tally is just over two years on Android is started and half years after the 50 000 mark. When it started, along with T-Mobile G1, store had only a few dozen titles, or even support for paid titles.

The pace of growth lags behind Apple officially IOS apps hit 250,000 in August and is now unofficially over 280,000. It is still the second largest store of Google, and away from competitors such as BlackBerry App World, which hit 10,000 and then Apple or Google.
